International Fashion Showcase 2012
Alison devised the International Fashion Showcase with the intention to expand the fashion dialogue beyond the traditional fashion capitals. The inaugural Showcase was commissioned with the British Fashion Council and took place in February 2012. The Showcase brought together the work of emerging fashion designers with 19 projects presenting the work of 85 emerging fashion designers from 24 countries in a series of installations across London during London Fashion Week. The Showcase included the Korean Cultural Centre’s A New Space Around the Body, which won the Best in Show award, and an installation of work from Nigeria, Botswana and Sierra Leone held at the British Council’s London headquarters and curated by Carol Tulloch and also commissioned by Alison.
