Alison Moloney

This exhibition revealed shoes from the eclectic archive at London College of Fashion, UAL which includes 1930s orthopaedic footwear, silk slippers from the 1800s and even a shoe made for a sheep. Artists Linda Brothwell, Laila Diallo, Eelko Moorer and Ellen Sampson were commissioned to produced work inspired by the selected shoes, revealing new interpretations of aged objects through virtual reality, film, dance and handcrafted new objects. The installations formed a trail through the National Trust’s Sutton House in east London. Commissions curated by Alison and supported by Arts Council England with Kurt Geiger. Archive shoes curated with Amy de la Haye.
