BA (Hons), MA & PhD teaching
Alison is an Associate Lecturer at Central Saint Martins, UAL, supervising BA Fashion History students on final major projects, and teaching MA Fashion Communication students curatorial studies. At Goldsmiths, University of London, she is an Associate Lecturer on the BA (Hons) Design course, supervising final written projects and teaching critical design knowledge through curatorial and exhibition-making practices. Alison leads the MA Curating Contemporary Design, Kingston University, exhibition visit programme and supervises final major projects.
In 2022 Alison taught on the V&A’s Curating Fashion course leading talks on community projects, decolonising museum practices and the expanded field of fashion curatorship which included experimental installation-based interventions.
Alison previously worked at London College of Fashion, UAL, where she led Units on BA (Hons) courses and the MA Fashion Curation Course which focused on curatorial practice, object-based storytelling and material culture readings. Led PhD workshops on decolonising museum collections.
